Running to Lose Weight

After reading the post titled Weight Loss Exercise Program, you might want to start to perform some running. It burns calories to run, helping you lose fat. Running to lose weight is thus regarded as one of the most effective.

In addition, running can make you stronger, more energetic, and more enduring. Your life can possibly be changed by regular running to lose weight.

Some important aspects of running shall be learned at first before you get started running to lose weight, such as a piece of equipment, a plan for regular and progressive running, and a change of eating.

Running is easy in some way. After all, it’s just a process of stepping one foot forward and then placing the other foot in front of it. Human beings are good at running. It’s the result of evolution. We are more advantageous than other animals especially when it comes to distance running because of our balanced body and our head.

At the beginning of your running to lose weight, you might probably be panting after running only a few hundred meters. That’s what I was like when I started running. However, you will be surprised how quickly your body would be adapted to it with some regular running practice. You could see your improvement after the first week. I remember that I could run one kilometer without breath catching only after around two weeks of regular practice. After another few weeks, my breath and heart beating became regular. I could even have a conversation while jogging and run till fatigue overcame me.

I could not help noticing a change in my eating habits during this period of time, too. You could not avoid paying attention to this change when you have a running plan to execute. Sugary diets and carbohydrate foods were cut back. Protein shakes came into my drinking diets. Ten pounds were lost from my body.

Therefore, no matter what your goals are – whether it’s weight loss, energy gain or preparation for a race, your first step is important – start running to lose weight somewhere.
